Free Places to Swim in Falmouth

Have you gotten your beach sticker yet?

Priced at $30 for residences, $200 for non-residents and up to $25 a day, a summer-long beach parking sticker might be a strain on your budget.

But have no fear; there are a few places in Falmouth that don't require a sticker for a day in the sand and sun.

Grews Pond

Surrounded by Goodwill Park, Grews Pond features free parking, public restrooms, volleyball courts, a rope swing, horseshoes, a picnic area and grassy playing field for kids. Lifeguards are on duty in season. A four-mile walking trail around nearby Long Pond is accessible from the park.

The Knob

A small peninsula on Quissett Harbor, "The Knob," also known as the Cornelia Carey Sanctuary, is a great place to go walking on the trails to the vast Buzzards Bay outlook as well as swimming on one of its small, usually empty beaches. A limited number of parking spots are located by the Harbor and visitors can follow the trails to the beach on The Knob.
