Big Brothers, Big Sisters Is Looking for "Littles" in Falmouth

Help reach even more children who need positive adult friendships in the Falmouth community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands is looking for kids in Falmouth who want to experience the wonderful opportunity of sharing in a variety of free and affordable activities with a mentor.

In communities throughout the Cape, and specifically Falmouth, there are amazing volunteers ready to help kids enjoy enriching activities with the support of the agency’s trained staff. BBBSCCI is continually working to create ways to help more children on Cape Cod and the Islands engage in the program. By targeting specific areas where volunteers are ready to participate in a one-to-one friendship with a child, the organization is making sure that every kid who would like to join the program will be matched with a caring adult.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands (BBBSCCI) Executive Director Hadley Luddy says that "our program offers fun, affordable and often free activities for kids and their 'Bigs.' With the summer months approaching, there is so much to do on the Cape and we want to encourage kids to be part of our program and enjoy all the Cape has to offer. “

BBBSCCI has been on the Cape for more than 40 years and has served thousands of children during its history. A trained, professional staff matches caring adult volunteers with children in strong, enduring one-to-one mentoring relationships. Research shows that children with a Big Brother or Big Sister are more likely to graduate from high school, less likely to use drugs or alcohol, and less likely to engage in negative behavior.
