PAL Receives Grants From Local Foundations
The Police Athletic League recently received grants from the Woods Hole Foundation and the Cape Cod Foundation's Youth Force Program.
is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a $1,500 grant from the Woods Hole Foundation. The grant was awarded to PAL to offset the cost of hiring Counselors in Training (CIT) for the PAL Summer Camp Program. CIT’s are high school students with leadership skills who are looking to further their workforce readiness skills.
The PAL Youth Employment Program is very appreciative of the support from organizations like the Woods Hole Foundation, and will now be able to continue our important mission of providing a safe, healthy and enriching environment for youths on Cape Cod. Thank you to the Woods Hole Foundation for its support!
The PAL Youth Leadership Program has also been granted $250 from the Cape Cod Foundation Youth Force Grant to help offset the cost of the Leadership Program’s Anti-Bullying Community Presentation on May 29, 2012. The Community Presentation will consist of skits, plays, spoken word and more performed by PAL Youth Leaders on the topic of bullying and its effects on our community. Thank you to the Cape Cod Foundation’s Youth Force Committee for its support of PAL’s programs and activities!
