Wounded Veterans to Ride Shining Sea Bike Path Friday

Everyone is welcome to come out and cheer the Wounded Warrior Project riders as they cycle from North Falmouth to Woods Hole and back along the bike path Friday morning.

At 9:30 a.m. Friday, a group of wounded American service veterans riding specially equipped bicycles will depart North Falmouth for Woods Hole on the Shining Sea Bikeway on a round-trip Soldier Ride.

Organized groups and individuals are planning to cheer the riders on, although organizers say the ride itself is limited to the veterans and their cycling escorts: "This is a Warrior ride only," according to the poster for the Wounded Warrior Project event.

Friday is the second of two days in this week's Soldier Ride on Cape Cod: Thursday, the veterans were scheduled to ride the Rail Trail from Dennis to Wellfleet for a celebration in Provincetown.
