'Hot Club' Trio Coming to Woods Hole

Five things to look forward to this week in Falmouth.

1. The seventh annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Breakfast, sponsored by Falmouth No Place for Hate, takes place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Morse Pond School: $15, $10 kids.

2. The Falmouth Art Center is hosting "Winter Wonderland", a children's art workshop, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday. Ages 5-8 and 9-12, $20 per child. Call the Falmouth Art Center at 508-540-3304 or visit falmouthart.org to sign up.  

3. Tuesday, Liam Maguire's hosts Karaoke with DJ Andy, starting at 9 p.m. Free admission.

4. Want to take a brisk walk or shoot some hoops, regardless of winter weather? The Falmouth Recreation Department wants us to know that Adult Walking is available in the gymnasium Monday through Friday 8-9 AM and 11 a.m. to noon, followed by Adult Basketball until 2:30 p.m.

5. Quick's Hole Tavern posts on Facebook: "'Hot Club of Orleans'" coming to the Quicks Hole Tavern next Thursday January 23rd -- Mattias Bossi leads this Django French Jazz trio with Benjamin Kushigian and Jon Evans. Don't miss this great night out in Woods Hole! $10 cover, starts at 7 p.m., 29 Railroad Avenue in Woods Hole, plenty of street parking."
