NWS Issues Winter Blizzard Watch for Falmouth, A Potential Historic Winter Storm

One to two feet of snow is expected, beginning Friday morning.

  The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Watch for Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties effective from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon.  According to the National Weather Service, a Blizzard Watch and Coastal Flood Watch will also be in effect Friday evening into Saturday afternoon. Hurricane force winds are possible for the Cape and Islands during the storm. 35 to 45 mph north winds are expected with gusts up to 70 mph along the southcoast.
