Next week, Lou Anne Colombo and Len Campanale are heading to the Rockaways in Queens, New York, with supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy. It is the fourth time that the pair has travelled to the area since the storm wreaked havoc on October 30, 2012.
Colombo and Campanale traveled to the Rockaways in November and December to deliver relief supplies and toys to those in need. Shortly before Christmas, the pair made their third trip to the Rockaways to help families whose homes were damaged by storm waters. It was during this trip that they realized the need for help was greater than what they had previously imagined. Upon returning to Massachusetts, the Colombo and Campanale began collecting donations and planning a fourth trip. “Most of the people we are meeting [in the Rockaways] are not covered by health insurance and are still living in their homes with no electricity or heat, including children, the elderly and disabled,” said Lou Anne Colombo. “It is heartbreaking to witness …

Jeffrey Richardson of Sandwich was tuna fishing recently when he spotted what might be a great white!
Recently, what might be a great white shark was spotted off Barnstable. This time the man who spotted the shark, Jeffrey Richardson of Sandwich, was three miles off shore tuna fishing from a boat, according to www.wcvb.com. Massachusetts shark expert Greg Skomal has reviewed photos of the shark taken by Richardson and told WCVB.com, "We are pretty confident that it is a great white shark. We do not have many sightings from Cape Cod Bay.” Yet, Skomal still needs to review the video to declare it a great white. On Cape Cod, the Cape Cod Shark Hunters have been keeping track of …
