People for Cats: Adopt Rizzoli

People for Cats is helping to find Rizzoli a forever home.

Rizzoli is a 10 month old, petite, long-haired black cat. Along with several of her siblings, she came to us from a household with too many cats. All of these young females are well socialized and friendly. Each has been spayed now and is current with its shots. Rizzoli loves attention and is playful and she would do well either as an only pet or in a householdwith another good-tempered cat. For the many people who inquire about long-haired cats, this young charmer is a pretty girl with a lovely personality. Our shelter is located at 44 Beagle Lane in Teaticket. We are open to the public Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 pm., or by appointment.People for Cats, Box 422, W. Falmouth, MA 02574. Hotline: 508-540-5654.

People for Cats: Adopt Willow

Willow is a playful and curious cat looking for a forever home.

People for Cats provided the following.  This week we are featuring Willow, a 1 1/2 year old, gray and white girl with a long slender body. Willow and two other cats came to us when their owner died. In spite of being a little timid at the shelter, she is venturing out more now. When approached, she backs up a bit but almost immediately comes back to sniff our hands and be petted. As befits her young age, Willow is playful and curious. She would be most comfortable in a quiet home or with a family whose children are 10 or older. This good natured, cheerful young cat should quickly gain confidence once she is in a loving home.  Adoption hours are Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or call our hotline to make an …

People for Cats: Adopt Cocoa and Copper

Cocoa and Copper are looking for a forever home.

People for Cats provided the following.  Cocoa and Copper are 10 month old Snowshoe, seal point brothers. The Snowshoe breed gets its stocky, robust size from its American shorthair forebears and its long body length from its Siamese forebears. Snowshoes are less vocal than Siamese but still talkative.  They are friendly, companionable, lap cats. Cocoa is an outgoing young boy. Copper is shy but responds well to attention, rolling over to let us rub his head and chin. Since these brothers are bonded with each other, we want them to be adopted as a pair. We think Copper will be less shy in a quiet home, as long as Cocoa is there to help make him feel comfortable. Cocoa and Copper are beautiful, young cats who will be loving companions for…

People for Cats: Adopt Ruby

Little Miss Ruby is looking for a forever home.

by People for Cats  Little Miss Ruby is a gem of a cat. She has only been at the shelter a short while but she is already a favorite with our volunteers. A petite reddish-orange girl, Ruby is 3 1/2 years old and purrs as soon as we approach her. She has a favorite, fluffy fleece blanket that she kneads and we will make sure it goes with her to her new home. Her former owners say that Ruby likes to run around a bit between cat naps, so a home where her playfulness is appreciated would work best. Ruby is a sweet girl but has a pinch of spice in her personality too. She could live with a family with children as long as they are past the toddler stage. This little cat with a big personality will make someone a wonderful pet companion. …

People for Cats: Adopt Ishmael

Ishmael was reluctantly surrendered by a couple who are traveling and know their cat would be happier in a home where people are there most of the time.

People for Cats provided the following.  Ishy is one of a number of black cats currently at the shelter, but we quickly see that each of these cats has its own distinct personality. Like most black cats, Ishy has shiny fur that is soft to the touch. He is about 1 1/2 years old and loves to play. It is fun to watch him bat cat toys around in his suite for 15 minutes at a time. This friendly, happy boy takes his play seriously! Ishy would be a good choice for a family with children who would play with him, occupying both Ishy and themselves. His good nature is sure to win him a new home soon. Our shelter address is 44 Beagle Lane in Teaticket. Adoption hours are Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or by appointment…

People for Cats: Adopt Sweetie

Sweetie is looking for a forever home after her owner went into a nursing home.

By People for Cats  Sweetie recently came to our shelter after her owner went into a nursing home. She is a declawed, white and gray cat whose personality matches her name. Sweetie is calm, friendly, and affectionate. She has lived indoors, both as an only cat and in the company of other cats, so we think she would be happy either in a quiet home or with a family with children past the preschool age. Sweetie has experienced big changes in her life recently so we are hoping this lovely middle-aged girl's stay in the shelter will be short. Having another loving family of her own is all Sweetie needs to be a contented cat once more. Adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or call our …

People for Cats: Adopt Mittens

Mittens is a 5-year-old orange tabby cat with white paws and tummy who is looking for a home.

Mittens is a large, 5 year old orange tabby with white paws and tummy. Although he has been with us several months while he recovered from a health problem, he has a clean bill of health now and only needs to be kept on a special diet to remain that way. Mittens has his own fan club at PFC and all our volunteers belong to it. He is a big lover boy who purrs most of the time, even while at the vet's office. His special diet is to keep him healthy and help him lose some weight, but his winning personality more than makes up for this requirement. Mittens would like a home where someone is around most of the day because he likes people and gets bored if he is alone too long. But for anyone interested in a good tempered, companionable cat, …

People for Cats: Adopt Ebony

Ebony would make a great cat for a family with children and needs a forever home.

By People for Cats: Ebony came from an East Falmouth neighborhood where he had been seen on his own for several weeks. Less than two years old, Ebony is a sleek, black cat with gold eyes and a muscular body. No one has claimed him and he has been neutered now, so he is ready to be adopted. Ebony is a good natured, gentle, friendly boy. He nuzzles our hands for attention and loves to sit at a window to watch the activity outside. With his patient, tolerant personality, Ebony would make a good cat for a family with children. Both cat and children would enjoy their playtimes together. Our shelter address is 44 Beagle Lane in Teaticket. We are open to the public Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or by appointment…

Maine Coon Cat Looking for a Home

Toby, an eight-year-old Maine coon cat is looking for a home.

by People for Cats Meet Toby, a handsome eight year old Maine coon. He has the long hair typical of his breed and is a medium-sized gray/brown tabby with green eyes. Toby is a bit reserved at first meeting but quickly relaxes and becomes friendly as soon as he is comfortable with someone. He has lived with other cats but might prefer to be an only cat so he can have more personal attention. PFC recommends that all house cats be kept indoors, but this is especially important for Toby because he is declawed. Toby is an affectionate cat and will be a good companion for someone in a quiet household. Visit Toby at our shelter, located at 44 Beagle Lane in Teaticket. Adoption hours are Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m…

People for Cats: Adopt Fred

Fredlick is a friendly outgoing cat looking for a forever home.

by People for Cats Fredlick is a handsome, big orange and white cat who is about 4 years old. As the official greeter for his suite, Fredlick meets everyone who enters and rubs against their legs until he gets their attention. If someone kneels down facing away from him, he may climb up on their shoulders to remind them he is still there. After he has had a little petting, Fredlick is happy to amuse himself. This friendly, outgoing guy has adapted well to living with the other cats in his suite. Fredlick would prefer a home without toddler aged children but older children in the home would be fine. We are open to the public Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or by appointment. The shelter address is 44 Beagle …
