Mike Tempesta, Neighbor

Mike Tempesta began fishing on the Charles River in Newton, Mass., where he grew up; he has been fishing in fresh and salt water ever since. His writing career began at Newton North High, thanks to journalism teacher Helen Smith. He continued at Northeastern University, began a professional career at The Middlesex News in Framingham, covering all sports at all levels. Newspaper days culminated at The Eagle-Tribune where he was columnist, editor and reporter. Since moving to Falmouth in 1999, Tempesta has freelanced, written poetry, a novel and cherishes every free moment on the water. He lives with his beloved Susan in Teaticket.
