A car accident Thursday afternoon on Route 28 seriously injured one man and has left almost 2,000 people without power as of 5 p.m., a Cape Cod Times breaking news alert states.
The details of the crash are still under investigation. No other particulars of the crash are available at this time, Falmouth police say.
"Route 28 in East Falmouth is closed from Old Barnstable Road and Acapesket Road to John Parker Road," a Falmouth Police Department press release says. "See alternate routes and expect long delays.
Eastbound traffic is being diverted south onto Acapesket Road. Westbound traffic is being diverted onto Thatcher Road.
