Acclaimed novelist Dennis McFarland is coming to the Falmouth
Public Library on Wednesday, October 30 to talk about Nostalgia his newly published sixth novel.
Nostalgia
is set in the Battle of the
Wilderness May 1864, considered one of the most infamous and critical battles
of the Civil War. As with his previous
novels, this story concerns a family relationship. A young man impulsively enlists in the Union
Army as a private, leaving his sister, a schoolteacher, devastated and alone in
their Brooklyn home after the death of their parents. The program beginning at 6:30 PM is offered
to the public FREE of charge. Eight
Cousins Bookstore will provide copies of Nostalgia for sale and signing.
