Community Corner

Open House at Fairwinds Clubhouse

Fairwinds Clubhouse provides opportunities for friendship,

support, employment and education for adults with psychiatric disabilities. The annual open house gives members and staff the chance to showcase their Clubhouse and to share the supportive environment that is helping to rebuild lives.

Everyone in the community is invited to come and tour the facility and members' garden, view the artwork produced through the Studio 35 program. and enjoy the refreshments produced in the culinary unit's professional kitchen.

“We know there are a
lot of people in the community who are either unaware of Fairwinds or who don’t
fully understand the amazing work being done there,” said Noah Totten,
president of the Friends of Fairwinds advisory committee. “By
opening the Clubhouse to the community, we hope to increase understanding of the program's value to the community and encourage more support for the Clubhouse.”

Light refreshments, some of which will be prepared by
culinary program participants, will be served. For more information, call Debbie or Ginger at the

Clubhouse, at 508-540-6011.
