Falmouth Police Arrest 13 Over Labor Day Weekend

Police were busy over the holiday weekend in Falmouth. Arrest information does not indicate convictions. A fifth teen is still being sought in connection with Saturday morning's armed home invasion. Check back for updates.

From the Falmouth Police Department log of calls for service over the holiday weekend:

  • Friday shortly before 3 p.m., Timothy J. Dimock, 37, of Fall River was taken into protective custody after police received a report of an intoxicated person at Sandcastle Drive and Davisville Road.
  • After a motor vehicle stop on East Falmouth Highway at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Michael P. Raposa, 42, of Falmouth was arrested on suspicion of operating under the influence of liquor in a second offense, negligent operation and marked lanes violation.
  • At about 3:50 a.m. Saturday on Wickertree Road, Ryan C. Toth, 39, of North Falmouth was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault and battery.
  • Four teens were arrested after a reported home invasion on Sandcastle Drive early Saturday morning, while a fifth teen is still at large:
  • A 16-year-old, not named because of his age, was taken into juvenile custody on suspicion of home invasion armed with a firearm, kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, armed robbery, conspiracy and selling or possessing an electric stun gun.
  • Elijah Smith, 18, of East Falmouth faces charges of home invasion armed with a firearm, kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, armed robbery, conspiracy and possessing a firearm while committing a felony.
  • Michael Fernandes, 18, of East Falmouth faces charges of home invasion armed with a firearm, kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, armed robbery, conspiracy, possessing a firearm while committing a felony and selling or possessing an electric stun gun
  • Kayla Alicia Pina, 19, of East Falmouth was arrested on suspicion of obstructing justice.
  • After a motor vehicle stop on Teaticket Highway around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, police arrested Alexander Tourles, 25, of Falmouth on a warrant.
  • Sunday in the noon hour, a report of an unwanted person resulted in the trespassing arrest of Gerald Anthony Tavano, Jr., 35, of Falmouth, who also was taken into custody on two warrants.
  • A report of a domestic disturbance on Brick Kiln Road around 3 p.m. Sunday led to the arrest of Kevin J. Scrima, 36, of Falmouth who was taken into protective custody and also faces charges of assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
  • After a domestic disturbance report shortly before 7 p.m., 24-year-old Tyler J. Hewson was arrested on suspicion of simple assault and battery.
  • A shoplifting report on Davis Straits around 6:15 p.m. Monday led to two arrests: David C. Dewees, 44, of Falmouth was taken into custody on a warrant and
  • Kristel L. Mikina, 31, of Marstons Mills was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
