REOPENED: Structure Fire Closes Rte. 28 in Waquoit
The road closure has ended. It was due to a structure fire at the intersection of Martin Rd and Route 28, Falmouth police said Sunday afternoon.
Updated: Police announced at 2:33 p.m. that the road has been reopened.
At 2:05 p.m. Sunday, Falmouth police issued the following news release:
At the time of this release Route 28 in Waquoit is closed between Red Brook Rd and the Mashpee/Falmouth town line.

The temporary road closure is due to a structure fire at the intersection of Martin Rd and Route 28. The road will be re-opened as soon as fire apparatus is moved from the scene and the area is determined to be safe for motorist travel.
