Details for 2013 Falmouth Road Race, SBLI 'Fun Run'

Eager runners are gearing up for two road races this August. 

The weekend of Aug. 9-11 will mark the annual Falmouth Road Race and 12th annual SBLI Family Fun Run event. 

Below are the highlights for the Falmouth Road Race, set for Sunday, Aug. 11:

The 12th annual SBLI Family Fun Run, meanwhile, is set to take place on Friday, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Falmouth High School track. 

The event is open to boys and girls, aged 2-14, to take part in various races: 

• 5 and younger - 100 yards
• 6 and 7 - 200 yards
• 8 and 9 – 400 yards
• 10 and 11 – 800 yards
• 12 to 14 – one mile

Online registration is expected to open soon, and participants will also be able to register in person starting at 4:30 p.m. on the day of the event. 

All registered participants will receive an official tee shirt, medal and finish line photo. Music and refreshments will be available, as well.
