Irish Music, Holiday Fair, Stories for Grownups, Art Journaling, 'Robot and Frank'

For your weekend agenda: five suggestions for fun things to do in Falmouth this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 23 and Nov. 24, 2013. Find more in our Events calendar and have a great weekend!

  1. The John Wesley Church Holiday Fair continues from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday with wreaths and greens, pies and baked goods, preserves, handcrafts, jewelry, books, attic treasures, men's table, new and almost new goods, "Unique Boutique," silent auction and more. The JW Cafe is serving Continental Breakfast and Lunch during the fair. 270 Gifford St., Falmouth. Free.
  2. Art Journaling for Teens and Adults is a workshop at the Falmouth Public Library Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Learn to make an art journal with a variety of art techniques. Express yourself with art and words. Registration required: 508-457-2555, ext. 6, info@falmouthpubliclibrary.org 
  3. Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, Peter 
    Sarsgaard and Jeremy Sisto star in "Robot And Frank," this Saturday's Dinner & a Movie event at the Captain Kidd, 77 Water St., Woods Hole. $25 per person includes entrée and the movie, but does not include beverage, dessert, tax or tip. Dinner is served beginning at 5:30 p.m. The screening follows at 7:30 p.m. Reservations are required: Call 508-548-8563.
  4. Steve Junker of WCAI and actress/playwright Lydia Sargent read at this month's edition of the Woods Hole Public Library’s popular Story Hour for Grownups, Sunday at 3 p.m. Free.
  5. The group Comas plays traditional Irish music with driving energy Sunday at the Woods Hole Community Hall. The concert begins at 7:30 PM. Doors open at 7 PM. Admission is $15 with discounts for members, seniors, youth and children. Community Hall is handicapped accessible.
