UPDATED: Missing Falmouth Man with Alzheimer's Found

Richard McLeod, 85, has been located, Falmouth police say.

Falmouth police announced shortly before noon that Richard McLeod, missing since early this morning, has been found: Please see Missing Man Found Sitting in Car.

Police have released the missing man's name: He is Richard McLeod. McLeod has been missing since about 1:15 a.m. and may be wearing a brown zippered fleece jacket over his T-shirt and pajamas, says Falmouth Police Cap. Douglas DeCosta.

A search is underway for a missing Alzheimer's patient, according to an announcement from the Falmouth Police Department Sunday morning.

The patient is described as a thin white male with gray hair, 5'9" tall, age 85, suffering from Alzheimer's disease. 

Police say he was last seen on Pasnecoy Lane near the intersection of Menauhant Rd and Davisville Road, wearing a white v-neck T-shirt, blue/white pajamas, and brown slippers.

The police department is being assisted in the search by the Falmouth Fire & Rescue Dept, Falmouth Marine & Environmental Services Dept, Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office, Barnstable Police, Yarmouth Police, Mass Environmental Police and the US Coast Guard, according to Sunday's announcement.
